that some heterosexual bonehead can somehow find his way to a clearly homosexual establishment and bring the word de-humanization to new and horrific heights. I don't particularly care too much for gamblers, but you don't see me going to casinos trying to chop them up. I know that was a far-reaching analogy, but my point is that I question the motives of homophobes, especially male homophobes that bring hatchets and firearms to gay establishments. In the United States of America, you have the right to express negative opinions and that should be enough for these guys. For some reason, it's not and that's what those of us who want to prevent more of this butchery from occurring over and over again have to figure out. Hate crime legislation and public disapproval does not seem to deter these jerk-offs, it just seems to fuel their self-righteous hatred.

I used to never see the similarities between the gay and the black struggle. However, the war against same-sex marriage is just as ruthless as the outright prevention of black slave marriage. It took me to realize that at the ground zero of racism is the belief that "blacks are not human beings" and that a great deal of the people that persecute blacks say the same de-humanizing things about gay people. They give us little de-humanizing nick names like nigger or faggot. They claim we both spread horrible diseases and perpetuate crimes like stealing or child sex offenses. Then they start recruiting teen-aged pricks into their special interest groups, that complain about other special interest groups, ultimately spreading more hatred and violence in the end.

What will bring it to an end? Or is it just human nature and we have to just accept the occasional butchering of our brothers and sisters in the name of hatred? We have tried the educating the ignorant about diversity route already. Education used to be the answer for everything in it's day. But I never bought that racists don't understand diversity crap. They understand diversity when they want cheap brown Mexican labor, because the color green arouses them. They will even shake your hand if they think they can get your vote. No, not even excessive fines will deter them, but perhaps dangling their citizenship over Mt. Kilauea will. If tougher laws with tougher punishments won't deter these types perhaps exile and getting the U.K., Australia, and most of Europe not to take them, will?
