Who is this girl and how did she get to be so kickass! I saw on one of the blogs of note that Princeton is having somekind of rally thing to stop the slaying of deer in NJ. I couldn't help but laugh, because, from my observation, the only way to do that is to stop developing. The little suburban town I live in, Manalapan, used to be ripe with lucious farmland. Like a tourist, I would set out in whatever car I had access to and just go sight seeing whenever fall came around. There used to be alot of turn-of-the-century Colonial houses planted on top of sprawling green hills. Autumn would add this dewy touch to everything, and the leaves provided a breathtaking contrast to the rest of the landscapes. Now, driving makes me want to kill, and where the hell can I go to see trees. Granted my road is still pretty much rural, but I'm beginning to feel a bit claustrophobic these days. Everywhere I turn there is a new and useless shopping center being constructed or these huge half-million dollar houses so closely built you can probably smell your neighbors' underwear if you open your window. What's worse is these houses rarely have any furniture or window dressings. Usually, theres just a big gigantic chandelier and maybe the glow of a television set coming from some dark room towards the back. I wonder if the planet has a maxium capacity. Doesn't everything?
