I'm in desparate need of a GD tape trader, I'm searching for the Deer Creek shows from the summer of '94; will have sex, donate body parts (except for ears), anything you want! Contact me at here Just remember to take out the No spam.
My life has gone slowly downward since '95. It was the worst year of my life. My mother died that January 13th ( It was a friggin' Friday at that) and then Jerry went at the end of that summer. I remeber the last show. It was in Chicago Soldierfields and everyone was excited because Unbroken Chain was making a comeback. There were fireworks, so that leads me to believe it was around 4th of July. My feet were blistered and calloused from dancing and walking barefoot for weeks. I was with this cool guy Gerard and I think he was chewing my ass out for getting high. I knew he was right. I owe him like mad dough. I have no clue how to find him nor the rest of the people I owe.
Gerard if you're out there give me a ring, I know I owe you some mad money, catch me now while I have it! Use my e-mail address to contact me if you lost my number. Remeber potatoes au gratin in Chicago! Or how about that freaky cabin accident in St. Louis!
They never got around to doing St.Stephen. They did this small bit of it on Dec. 8th '93 at the Sports Arena, Los Angeles. I got that shite from Dead Head Hour! Is that still on?
Are there any Dead Heads out there? If so tell me about your journeys following the band and your favorite show(s), song(s). I absolutely love Other One, Scarlet/Victim/Fire sets, and Music Nvr. Stop'd. My fave shows were those Deer Creek shows of '94, I remember dancing my ass off like there was never going to be another day. I'm glad I did because they cancelled Deer Creek the next year. I think it was gate rushers or sumthin' There was something magickal about Deer Creek, maybe the cornfields that surround it, or that little Noblesville (Nobletucky!) town, or maybe it was the 25¢ Mellow Yellows! I don't know what it was, but I miss it. I saw a real rainbow there. It was my first real rainbow, just like sth. out of Wizard of Oz.
I was so lucky to have been able to do those 2 summers. I want to thank all the groovie people out there that helped make it possible. THANK YOU, to date, those were the best days of my life. When I think of my death, I say to myself ' I may not have become the next Michael Jackson or Madonna, but I sure as hell got to see the Grateful Dead and dance my ass off for two great summers!'
I miss those days...
