I'm now really depressed. I just found out about the troubles with Blogger. I took some stabs at coming up with solutions:

The Zone Alarm Approach:
Having the free for personal use, but pay for business method.
The Pay-Pay Approach:
Charging both sets of end users.
The Perpetual Fund-Raiser Approach:
Always keeping the availability of generous contributions somewhere visible on the site.
The Patented/Propriety Approach:
Hopefully, Pyra's CEO has patented his product. If so, he then can sort of get all of those freeserver sites to buy his product and then offer it to their customers. Sort of like the Yahoo/Geocities thing.
Synchronization Approach:
Do exactly that, combine all of the above and see what happens.
Software Approach:
Creating Blogger Software but add some cool graphical features: such as being able to make image maps, cute little smileys that the user can easily place into the document.
Use a Little Peer Pressure
Those with voices could start hinting at distaste for blogger users that haven't donated yet. hehe...
